So, my friend Steph’s comment on the last blog entry was to try some stitching….and since she is usually right with these things, I tried it out. So here are the 2 pages, with stitching around parts of the edges and I think they are finished. Thanks Steph!

Here are my 2 ATCs made with gel medium transfers:
This one has a transfer of a flower in upper right. The flower on the bottom is a rub on. The orange flower is made of several layers of punched out shapes and has Ranger Glossy Accents on it (hence the odd glare). Then I made another transfer of just print over the entire background. Thanks for looking.
Again, if anyone is interested, for each $10 donation to my Avon Walk for Breast Cancer I will send a card in thanks. I still don’t know the easy way of creating this link, but if you cut and paste this you will get to my Avon Walk page.
This week at TGIF the theme is “wonderful trees.” I do love trees and can’t wait to see the autumn leaves begin to show their colors. I worked on this in my journal:
I created leaves with paper punches in leaves and curls. “Trees, to me, dancers. Arms raised to catch the breeze. Feet planted in the ground deep in the soft earth. In autumn dazzling in full costume.”
This week’s CBH challenge is “texture”….my favorite! I had to make 2 and 2 very different explorations of texture:
The first one has watercolored paper towel and a strip of markered paper all stitched with wool. The second one has a paper towel underneath positive and negative punched paper forms with a wash of gesso over and dots of marker and colored pencil outlines. The clear plastic disk was stamped with an Inkadinkadoo image with Stazon ink. Liquid pearls (Ranger) under the disk and around the outside of it adhere it to the ATC.
