Finding New Normal

Hard to stay with the artwork these past few days.  Really finding just how Mimsey was a part of every moment in some way or other and needing to find new ways to be without her.  Today, for example, we did the laundry…first time without her.  Who knew she had such a big role in it!  She was always underfoot and messing with the sorted piles…today, nothing underfoot, no white socks thrown in with the dark colors.  To get us out and have a little activity we went to see the High Line Park newly opened along NYC’s west side.  It used to be an elevated train track.  They’ve kept some of the tracks and have beautiful wild plantings.  Great people watching and skylines to see. Here’s some of what we saw:

    what a difference between the east and the west reminds me a little of when I was 16 and visiting North Carolina…this was in 1979…the train tracks separated the small town, Wake Forest, where I was staying… and the development of the two sides quite drastic…
